Accounts Receivable (Listing & Aging) Report Guide

 

  • The Accounts Receivable (A/R) report is fully automated and the data connection is setup to refresh against Production Mirror daily. The schedule refresh is configured to update daily at 6am MST.
  • It is a tabular report that contains details about what the customers owe.
  • Displays the outstanding balance at a specific point in time based on the scheduled payments.
  • The aging component shows the amount that is due within the next 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days.
  • Contains policyholder contact details and all purchased policies.
  • Added Column to Aged A/R page - 'Prepayment'.  
  • You can slice by Risk Province.
  • The Slicer panel is synced between the pages. 
  • New: See the new Drill through feature. 

 

Tips

 

  • When you view this report, you will see the various columns include details of your Accounts Receivable.
  • Use this report to view your waived amounts, NSF fees or bad debt.
  • See Note at the top of the report ‘Note: Receivable Summary based on accounting date view', shows the relevant view date, as well as the 'Date Refreshed' showing too. Both could affect the results shown.
  • As with all the reports, use the slicers to filter the results before exporting (see: How to export the report to Excel, at the bottom of this article).
  • The Pages Tab shows there are four pages to the report. Tabs show at the bottom of the report, like this:

 

 

Report Guide

 

In the rest of this article, there will be a guide to this report.  The data in the Accounts Receivable (A/R) report is split into four pages:

 

  • Aged A/R Summary
  • A/R Listing Summary
  • Aged A/R Detailed
  • A/R Listing Detailed

 

Aged A/R Summary 

 

  • This is the summary of the Aged A/R page.
  • Shows only outstanding values not equal to 0.
  • There is a new Slicer for "Cancel Status", options are "yes" (to show cancelled policies) and "no" (to show policies still in force).

 

A/R Listing Summary page

 

  • This is the summary of the A/R Listing page.
  • Shows only outstanding values not equal to 0.
  • There is a new Slicer for "Cancel Status", options are "yes" (to show cancelled policies) and "no" (to show policies still in force)

 

Aged A/R Detailed (previously called 'Aged A/R')

 

  • The detail for this page of the report is moved from page 1 to page 3.
  • The results here include additional columns that are not in the summary report, for example:
    • Cancel status column
    • Cancel effective date
    • Policy count
    • A/R at issuance

 

This report will also show a column called Prepayment. This captures the advanced payments remitted by the customer. So, the payment processor has successfully collected the payment prior to the effective date of the policy. This leads the Total Outstanding Balance, on the A/R Listed and Aged A/R to tally and align.

A/R Listing Detailed (previously called 'A/R Listing')

 

  • The detail for this page of the report is moved from page 2 to page 4.
  • The results here include additional columns that are not in the summary report for example:
    • A/R at issuance
    • Waived amounts
    • Bad debt
    • Adjusted accounts receivable
    • Paid to date
    • Cancel status column
    • Cancel effective date

There is now new functionality to drill through to customer details:

 

  • Right click the Policy Number
  • Click "Drill through"
  • Click "Customer Details"

  • Hover the mouse anywhere over the above table, that’s in the report.
  • The below sub menu appears and you select the  …

  • Menu opens, select Export Data.
  • You will then get to choose which data that you want to export and the format that you can choose from.
  • Save as a File Format of your preference, and Select Export.
