January 12th, 2022 : we will deploy a fix to our platform to address cancellation screen functionality.
This fix is related to the date that the cancellation calendar defaults to, which is causing users of the platform to cancel from the incorrect date.

When completing the cancellation screen in bond (i.e. customer requested cancellation), existing functionality caused the effective date to incorrectly default to the policy effective date. |
When you cancel a policy, it will correctly default to the date the cancellation is being made (i.e. if you are doing the cancellation today, it defaults to today).

A flat cancel means that you cancel the policy from the date it started. This may result in back-dating; we’ll explain more below.

When you make a flat cancel, the platform will correctly default to the effective date of the policy.
