Once a manual product (MP) policy has been issued, it is still possible to correct in bond.

As there is manual input of the premiums during the set-up process, this feature is enabled to correct such errors.

Permission

Amend transactions is only available where you have permission.  Permissions are updated in admin, and is a permission called - Edit transaction in bond.  With this assigned, users will be able to perform adjustments/corrections. Contact your Digital Champion if you are unsure.

If you need to correct a premium that has been input incorrectly (New premium, renewal, OR change policy), here is the process:

  • Go to Transaction Summary.
  • Use the expander to open the screen (where you can edit), shown here:

  • This will open up the transaction summary screen to a full-page view.
  • Here you will see all transactions for the customer for all the policies that they have with you.
  • You can use the filters at the top of the screen to select which policy, if needed.

Here is an example, where we have filtered to just show Chirp Insurance policy transactions, and we will use the Actions icon to edit:

  • Select the Adjust icon shown above.
  • The Transaction Adjustment form will open.  The left side of the screen shows the current transactions.
  • The right side has fields which you can modify to correct what you need to within that transaction.

Here is an example:

  • If you select Preview a pop up will preview the changes for you to check and confirm.
  • Select Submit to approve the changes in the transactions.

  • On the Transaction summary page you will now see that a transaction will show to 'undo' the wrong transactions, then a new one will be billed on the correct amounts.

In conclusion:

The wrong transaction is reversed.

The Total Cost on the customer profile screen is updated.

Payment Amounts for future dates are updated.

Payment already paid remains the same.
